I Am Alive

A poem inspired for the service at St Martin-in-the-Fields for the homeless and those who have died in the streets.

Do not despair

For I was there,

Where you are now.

I want to share

And then to repair

The life you have.

Each day say a prayer,

Remember I am near

I am Jesus your Lord.

You are alive,

Though they crucified me;

But I am alive,

And my Truth sets you free.

I'll lead the Way,

Just believe in my love.

Have faith for the day

When you're healed from above.

Verse from The Holy Bible: John 14 v.6.

Jesus is Lord

'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.'
